DMR schedules fishery meetings

AUGUSTA — Shellfish, safety and aquaculture are the subject of three upcoming meetings the Maine Department of Marine Resources (DMR) scheduled for September.

The Commercial Fishing Safety Council will meet remotely on Sept. 13, from 6-8 p.m., with a discussion of lobsterman Tylar Michaud’s death on the agenda. On Sept. 19, the Shellfish Advisory Council will meet from 12:30-3:30 p.m. at the DMR offices in the Marquardt Building in Augusta, and is accepting agenda items before Sept. 8. And, on Sept. 28, the Aquaculture Advisory Council will hold its third quarter meeting in Augusta and remotely from 10 a.m. to noon. The agenda for this meeting is not yet available, but links to remote meetings, agendas and more information can be accessed from maine.gov/dmr.
