Sheriff Kane’s Statement regarding Civil Process

With the relaxing of the Coronavirus-19 guidelines, effective July 1, 2021 the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office will again be accepting civil process paperwork in hand at our office.  This will be a return to our operations prior to Covid. You may now enter the building at the Sheriff’s Office entrance and drop off your paperwork with staff to be served.

Per the policy of the Hancock County Commissioners, masks are “recommended” for those who have not been vaccinated. If you feel you need to wear a mask for your safety and that of others, feel free to do so.

We will accept paperwork Monday through Friday during business hours 8-4.

This has been a long a trying time for everyone.  We would like to thank all of you for your patience and understanding during this crazy time. We look forward to doing business as usual and serving you with your civil needs.

Scott A. Kane
